An adaptation of the story The Viyi, by Nikolai Gogol, for many years it was the only horror film of Soviet production. Recently recovered in a magnificent high-definition restoration, it is a cult classic of the genre.

During a vacation period, a group of young priests are deceived by a witch. One of these young priests is called days later to a small village to fulfill a mission, to save the soul of a young woman. To fulfill his mandate, he must pray in a small church next to the young woman's corpse for 3 nights. Everything will change when he discovers that the young woman is, in reality, the witch he found with her companions.
